Requirements for a Spotify Countdown Page

1. At Least 5,000 Active Listeners in the Last 28 Days

  • This is a key criterion set by Spotify. The artist must have a minimum of 5,000 unique listeners on their Spotify account within the past 28 days.

2. Verified Spotify for Artists Account

  • The artist must have a verified Spotify for Artists account to access and use this feature.

3. New Album or EP Release

  • Countdown Pages are only available for album or EP releases. This feature is not available for single (track) releases.

4. Release Date Must Be At Least 7 Days Ahead

  • The Countdown Page must be set up at least 7 days prior to the album release date. It cannot be used for immediate or same-day releases.

How to Create a Countdown Page

If you meet the above criteria, follow these steps to create a Spotify Countdown Page:

1. Log in to Your Spotify for Artists Account

2. Go to the 'Music' Section

  • Navigate to the "Music" tab and locate your upcoming album or EP. Double-check that the release date is correctly set.

3. Activate the Countdown Page

  • If the criteria are met, the option to create a Countdown Page will automatically appear.

4. Direct Your Fans to the Page

  • Use the Countdown Page to encourage your fans to pre-save the album and receive notifications on the release day.

What to Do If You Don’t Meet the Criteria
